Management Team

Oscar Hernandez leads our Liquid Coatings Division and is an integral part of the FAMIS leadership team as Director and Partner. With over 30 years of wholesale industry experience with polyurethane, paints, solvents, wood coatings and powder coatings, Oscar has developed strong business partnerships and clients for FAMIS over the years.

Born and raised in Miami, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida International University. Oscar is one of two sons of FAMIS Founder Mario Hernandez Sr. and is an active member in the South Florida community. He has a passion for car racing sports. In his spare time, Oscar enjoys racing at local speedways on behalf of Powder Depot, a subsidiary company at FAMIS.

Mario Hernandez Jr. leads our Engineered Finishing Solutions and Sales Division as Director and Partner. With over 34 years of coating and wholesale industry experience, Mario is an important member of the FAMIS leadership team. Throughout the years, he has co-led operations, account management and strategic planning of many business partnerships and clients at FAMIS.

Born and raised in Miami, Mario earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Florida International University. He is one of two sons of FAMIS Founder Mario Hernandez Sr. and is an active member in the South Florida community. When he’s not at the office, Mario enjoys fishing, hunting and baseball games.
